What can't this tool tell you?
HeadShape AI is a simulation and a measurement, not a health assessment — it reads proportions off a photo and turns them into scores and a playful preview of what the months ahead might look like. It cannot see anything under the skin, it has known failure modes, and a photo taken a different way can produce a different reading even when nothing about the head has changed. If you have any concern about your baby, that question belongs with a professional — this tool doesn't answer it.
Is this a health assessment?
No. HeadShape AI turns a photo into shape scores and a simulated preview. It does not evaluate, screen for, or make claims about any physical condition, and no score or preview on this site should be read that way.
What can't it see?
It reads the outer shape of the head visible in one photo, taken from directly above. It has no way to see anything under the skin, so it can't tell you anything about what's beneath the surface — only what the outside looks like, from one angle, at one moment.
What are its known failure modes?
Some photos can't be measured reliably — usually because the traced outline picks up bedding, a swaddle or clothing along with the head. We check every photo for that before showing you anything, and when one doesn't pass we say so and ask for another rather than hand over a number we don't trust.
The check doesn't catch everything, so following the photo guidance still matters most. If a reading looks wrong to you, email support@headshapeai.com and a person will look at it. Will the same head always score the same?
Not exactly. The score reflects the photo as well as the head, so angle, distance and framing all move it a little. That is why the camera draws an outline to line the head up against, and why we ask for another photo when one won't measure cleanly.
